Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass Confirmed

Warner Bros. Interactive today announced plans to release a Season Pass for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The Season Pass will be available for purchase on release day for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers. Purchasing the Season Pass will give players access to 4 additional fighters when they become available as DLC for the price of 3. In addition, they will also receive the Flash Point Skin Pack. It features alternate costumes for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Deathstroke.

The Season Pass will be available for $14.99 on the PSN Store or 1200 MSP on Xbox Live Marketplace. Injustice: Gods Among Us hits shelves on April 16th.

Warner Bros. Interactive and DC have confirmed that Aquaman has joined the ranks in upcoming fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Divekick Coming to a Console Near You

Yes that’s correct, the game that started out as a parody fighting game is coming to the PlayStation3, PS Vita, and PC.

First, a little bit of history for those who have never heard of Divekick. The game was initially started as a parody video game by Adam Heart, the Editor-in-Chief of Shoryuken.com. What made Divekick unique was its lack of controls and surprising depth. It didn’t use a fight stick and players only had to worry about two buttons.

The whole point of the game is to use timing and your dive kick attack. The first player to connect with a successful dive kick wins the round. To win the match, a player must win five rounds.

After successfully debuting at fighting game tournaments, a Kickstarter campaign was started to bring the game to PC. Despite reaching their goal of $30,000, the developers decided to cancel their Kickstarter campaign after making a deal with One True Game Studios.

Teaming up with Iron Galaxy Studios, One True Game Studios is planning to release Divekick by spring 2013. There are no images or video of what the game will look like once the studios get their hands on it, but in the meantime check out the video below to get an idea of the style of gameplay Divekick will bring.

Microsoft has released a new video for Gears of War: Judgment. In the video, narrated by Lt. Baird, we get a preview into different features of the game. Features include the dynamic Smart Spawn System (or S3 as Lt. Baird likes to call it), new weapons, dynamic defense scenarios, Declassified Missions, new player rewards, and more.

Along with the new video, Microsoft has also announced it will be including a Games on Demand Xbox LIVE download token for the original Gears of War. The tokens will be limited though, so it’ll be first come first served.

Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel to the original Gears of War series. It will hit shelves March 22, 2013.

Star Trek: The Game Release Date Announced

Namco recently announced that Star Trek: The Game will be hitting shelves April 26, 2013.

The developers of Star Trek: The Game created an original story featuring Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock as they fight off The Gorn, an enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy. As with any other present-day game release, players will have the option to pre-order the game to get exclusive items. For Star Trek: The Game all pre-orders will receive the “Elite Officer Pack” which includes the following:

Stealth Pack – Kirk and Spock stealth uniforms, plus Starfleet Type IV Stealth Sniper Rifle and extra ammo
Brawler Pack – Kirk leather jacket costume and Spock Vulcan Science Academy costume
Kelvin Pack – Kirk and Spock U.S.S. Kelvin uniforms, plus U.S.S. Kelvin Hand Phaser
Academy Pack – Kirk Academy Uniform, Spock Officer Dress Uniform, plus Academy Phaser
Kobayashi Maru Pack – Kirk and Spock Kobayashi Maru uniforms

God of War: Ascension Demo Coming in February

In a recent blog post on the Playstation site, Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman has confirmed that we will be getting a playable demo of God of War: Ascension.

Playstation Plus users have already gotten to experience a multiplayer closed beta, but up until now there hasn’t been much gameplay video floating around the Interneet. Along with the announcement of the demo, Kaufman also revealed an image of what players who pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition can expect:

Finally, a new gameplay trailer was revealed to get us all worked up for the demo coming in late February. God of War: Ascension will be available on Playstation 3 starting March 12, 2013. Check out the new trailer below:

Project X Zone Western Release Confirmed

Namco Bandai today announced plans to release Project X Zone to countries outside of Japan. It’ll be headed to North America, Latin America, Europe and Australia in summer 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.

For those who have never heard of Project X Zone, it is a strategic RPG developed by Monolith Soft. It brings together over 50 characters from Namco, Sega, and Capcom.

Here is a summary of the story from the release:

Project X Zone takes place in a world surrounded by a hidden chaos with shadows and evil lurking beneath the peaceful cover of everyday life. When a rift in time and space suddenly appears, a doorway to various universes is opened allowing both heroes and villains from different worlds to cross paths. Players will be able to take control of a huge selection of paired heroes including favorites such as Jin and Xiaoyu (TEKKEN), Toma and Cyrille (Shining Force EXA), to X and Zero (Mega Man X) and discover the cause of the rift and stop evil from coming through and spreading into their world.

Warner Bros. Interactive and DC have confirmed Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released April 16th. Injustice will be available with these options: the “Battle Edition”, a Collector’s Edition, and a Standard Edition.

According to the DC Comics Blog, The Battle Edition, which retails for $149.99, includes an exclusive Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick featuring official artwork from the game and three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics – The New 52.

The Collector’s Edition, retailing for $99.99, includes the following:

Exclusive DC Collectibles statue (pictured at top) featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship
Special Collector’s Edition of the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book
Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics – The New 52

The UK will get a similar Collector’s Edition, except the statue is different (pictured below) and it doesn’t seem to include the download for Justice League: Doom.

Unless you are a hardcore joystick gamer, it looks like the Collector’s Edition is the better deal. Injustice: Gods Among Us will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii U.Similar Posts:

Halo 4 Spartan Ops: Season One Returns with New Episodes

With Halo 4, the series introduced the Spartan Ops feature. You can basically think of it as a separate campaign. It follows Captain Lasky and his team. There have already been 5 episodes released in Spartan Ops.

Microsoft has announced that 5 more episodes will be released weekly starting January 21st and continuing through February 24th. Here is the description from the release:

Reenlist with Fireteam Crimson as they search for Spartan Thorne on planet Requiem and come face-to-face with the threat of Jul ‘Mdama and his cult of Covenant separatists. The intensity of Season One builds to its thrilling conclusion in Episodes 6-10 as the battle moves beyond Requiem to a wide variety of locations featuring epic vehicular combat and on-foot encounters with Prometheans and Covenant forces.

Spartan Ops is a free feature included in Halo 4, though it does require players have Xbox Live Gold membership to access it. Check out the trailer below:
